Cement coffee table – Concrete casting techniques allow you to create a database for a dramatic double column oval coffee table glass. Corrugated cardboard, which is in the packing and moving supply stores, and cheap plastic bowls are used as foundry shapes. In addition to its use as table bases, columns weatherproof concrete can support birdbaths or sundials to hit additions to the garden. When mixing concrete with peat moss and vermiculite, a stone hyper tufa light for columns is created.
Mix 20 pounds of Portland cement, 20 pounds of peat moss and 20-pounds of vermiculite in the truck with the trowel. Add water, a cup at a time, and mix until the cement is the consistency of oatmeal. Open a short side of a cardboard box and remove the fins with the cutter. Connect the short side of the box to the sheet of plywood with adhesive tape. Repeat with remaining cardboard box.Fill in the boxes with the cement mixture and smooth the top edges with the cement coffee table. Spray plastic containers with release spray. Fill the container with the mixture of concrete and smooth the top with the trowel. Dry the cement for 48 hours. Rip cardboard columns and pull cement bowls.
Secure the bottom of a form of cement bowl-shaped to the end of a column of cement with epoxy glue. Place the bottom of the form as remaining bowl to the opposite end of the column.7 Place the container in the form of forms to the remaining cement column. Allow the glue to dry for 24 hours. Place the side of the columns side by side under the glass to complete the cement coffee table.
